Ensemble Pi performs at the Phoenicia Voice Festival Saturday, August 3rd.

We are excited to share the news that Ensemble Pi will be performing at the Phoenicia Voice Festival on Saturday, August 3rd. Our program, For the Environment from the Present to the Past, will include The Trout Quintet by Franz Schubert, and Kristen Norderval's Echo Systems, which was commissioned for Ensemble Pi.

We are also delighted to announce that we have been invited to perform in a very special evening celebrating the work of Krzystzof Penderecki, where the maestro himself will join us! The event will take place on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2013 at 7:30 PM at the Polish Cultural Institute in New York as part of Symphony Space's "in the SALON" series and will be broadcast on WQXR-Q2. The evening will be hosted by Helga Davis, and will include conversation with one of the greatest living 21st composers as well as performances of his music. The event is being given in collaboration with Alex Ambrose of WQXR-Q2 and Anna Perzanowska. It is our hope that you will be able to participate in this momentous occasion.
