APNM Chamber Music for the 21st Century

The Association for the Promotion of New Music (APNM) will present a concert of chamber music performed by Ensemble Pi, pianist Ishmael Wallace, and trombonist Haim Avitsur at the National Opera Center on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 8PM. The concert will feature works selected in the annual international Composition Call for Scores Contest, which accepted public submissions from APNM members and composers around the world. The program will include music from existing APNM members as well.
Tickets for this event are available at the National Opera Center. The concert program will showcase the following works selected from the contest:
Roger Briggs, USA – Tune My Heart (violin and piano)
Kai-Young Chan, USA – Mieko (flute and electronics)
George Christofi, Cyprus – Tethys (flute, cello, and piano)
Alice Shields, USA (APNM member) – The River of Memory (trombone and fixed media)
Stephen Siegel, USA – Into The Body of the Light (piano)
